I developed a webapp in 2020 to help students train for number sense competitions in the UIL number sense circuit. Today, this webapp is used by students across the state and I recently updated it in 2023 to increase the size of the question bank and make each question randomly generated.
I've been climbing since January of 2015 when I first started during my first year at UT Austin. I eventually joined the Texas Rock Climbing competitive team and competed for a few years and continue to climb primarily at Momentum Indoor Climbing in Houston, TX. I also worked at Stone Moves Indoor Rock Climbing during my breaks in undergrad and organized the Texas Rock Climbing Club to introduce newcomers to the sport.
I love reading science-fiction and books that challenge my perspectives. Peter Watts' Blindsight was a particular favorite which introduced me to many questions about consciousness from the point of view of a first contact story. I'd also like to highlight The Hidden Girl by Ken Liu which is a collection of short stories, some of which inspired the development of the animated series Pantheon.
To the left are a collection of albums which describe my music taste. I frequently go to shows within the posthardcore scene.
I have been following the top 5 european leagues as well as the MLS ever since I started teaching in 2018. In August of 2024, I got to see Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayern Munich in London, UK while visiting for a conference. Pictured is my father and I at the MLS conference semi-finals where we went to support the Houston Dynamo.
